Some 126 manoeuvres, arranged as a route through four positions
This is the index you will turn to more often than any other page. It is arranged not by organ and not by ailment, but by the position the patient is put into — supine, seated, side-lying, prone — with three further groups for the physical points of back pain, knee pain and everything else. (Figure 14.1)
That is not filing convenience. Turning a patient costs time and comfort, and in the frail costs more; so a formula is performed as a route through the four positions, gathering all that one position yields before the patient is moved.
Around a hundred and twenty-six manoeuvres are listed — some named anatomically, some biochemically, some functionally, some for the shape traced on the back, a handful for the patients in whose case they were found.
