WHAT TO CARRY AWAY

The order of the two halves is the teaching of this group. First the appropriate chemical points, to improve the internal environment of the cells; after that the physical points, chosen so that the tissues above and below the knee-cap — which get pulled during work and become caught in the knee-cap — are returned to their own place. The claim as it stands: all knee problems put right without any operation at all; full recovery certainly takes time, but relief in the pain comes after only a few treatments.

The knee-cap is drawn as a bare open circle, ○, and two treatments are given first of all, to make it supple.

Back of knees, face down: 20–25 · 6 · 6. Soft middle of the sole behind the knee, up-down, down-up; then feet or palm soles, light, at the upper border, drawing from the middle outward to both sides; then the same at the lower border. Then all three on the back of the other knee as well.

Knee Cap Free, laid straight or seated, knee completely loose, more troublesome knee first. Thumbs together, kneading right and left at 2–3 places hip to knee and 2–3 below the knee; palms on edge at both sides of the cap, up-down and down-up; then the sole of the palm at the four corners and round and round on all sides, to free the cap from the muscles beneath it. No count is given.

Giriraj: fingers together, knee → groin, many closely spaced places, clockwise, along three or four lines; then the outer thigh across towards the femur bone and pushed upward. Seated, or lying with a pillow under the thigh. Both legs, one after the other. Calf muscle ghisai follows it — both sides if both knees hurt, otherwise the affected side only: thumb tips, firm, inner side, below the knee down towards the heel, 3 × 3 lines; four fingertips of both hands, outer calf, 3 places × 3; side of the thumb along the inner border of the foot, heel → big-toe joint 6, that joint → toe tip 6.

Pradeep: left knee first, knee bent inward, pillow at an angle — corner slightly outside the knee, long side under the thigh, part of its width under the lower leg. Between the legs, looking at the knee, weight on the hands. Feet either side of the knee, one downward jerk through the heels; near the upper border, pressing inward, knee → hip, three rounds; just below the knee, pressing downward and inward, down to the heel, three rounds; finally the soft middle of the sole exactly in the middle of the knee bone, whole weight on it, standing up straight. Then the other knee. Variant, in place of the two walks: soles either side of the knee, the two feet moved alternately in opposite directions — left towards the hip while the right goes towards the heel — three rounds, then the final stand.

JJ Groin and JJ Back are a different family from JJ⁺¹ and JJ⁺², which are chosen by spinal level. These two are chosen by which side of the knee a single leftover point of pain sits on. Inner → JJ Groin, supine only, front of the thigh. Outer → JJ Back, face down, side of the buttocks and upper femur, only the troublesome knee. Both: from 6 inches below the hip, stations every two inches upward to the hip bone, pressed somewhat firmly upward and released, heel or the soles of the hands. Signs ⇃⇃ groin, ⇃⇃ back.

BOF draws the muscles and nerves away from the heel, towards the knee, with 1½ pillows under the legs and, if possible, 1½ under the chest, the forehead down and relaxed. Three positions — face down, right side, left side. Begin with the right leg, finish with the left. It is essential to turn the patient onto both sides in turn; merely angling the legs will not give the full result. Three aspects are enough for an ordinary patient. For numbness, pain, burning or any kind of problem from the toes, the soles and the heel up to the calves.

The fourth side, after a sprain: supine, heels or the soles of the hands, closely spaced places, from in front of the heel upward towards the knee, three times.

Big Toe Gas: the heel on the patient's big toe, both feet together or one at a time, normally 6 or 12 seconds, placed so that it does not pinch the patient's skin. Very good for the trouble of gas in the stomach.
