Thrd 'P' — Thyroid 'P', six seconds
That is, थाइरोइड पी – 6 सेकंड — Thyroid 'P' – 6 seconds, and it is read aloud that way, the six seconds included, because the six seconds are part of the name as it is written on a card.
On the left arm, pressure is to be given first near the elbow bone and then near the shoulder. At each place press for six seconds and release. Then do the same again at the same places. That is, the count of four equals one.

What lies beneath, and what is not. The thyroid is wrapped round the front of the windpipe low in the neck, the four parathyroids stuck to the back of it; both are governed by chemical messages, not mechanical ones, and neither is under the therapist's foot — which, as the anterior-neck rule makes plain, is an extremely good thing.
