Four steps that never change; four questions that choose the ending
There are two chief forms of the ATF formula — one in which Adr is given, and another in which Thymus Chest is given. But they have separate uses. The first four steps are identical in both. The whole clinical decision is about the ending.

Read that box as a single idea rather than four. Every one of the four names a body in which something is already being fought — a bruise, a fever, a boil, a rash that came up last week. In those bodies the formula does not push the adrenal; it recruits the thymus. In every other body with Mu° pain, the ending is Lt. Ch. Only and Adr. That is the entire decision, and the first four steps never change.
