Reading the cycle as a finding
Too much and too little on one balance, and the treatments opposite too
A woman's cycle is one of the plainest readings available to a therapist, and it is read in this therapy the way everything else is read — as a report on a balance. The material sets the pattern out in two places and the two agree.

Two things about that table are worth saying out loud to a student.
It is a reading, not a verdict. Heavy flow is a sign of acidosis is how this therapy classifies a finding so that a formula can be chosen. It is not a statement about what is wrong inside that particular woman's womb, and it is not a substitute for the examination that would find out. A woman whose flow has changed recently, at any age, has a question to be answered by somebody who can look. (Figure 40.2)
It is symmetrical, and the symmetry is the useful part. Too much and too little sit on opposite sides of the same balance, and the treatments sit opposite too — which is why one and the same manual gives you (2) S4, S5 to increase a scanty flow and Triangle for piles to control an excessive one, from two treatments given at almost the same place on the sacrum, in opposite directions.
