And the rule that is worth more than the list.
Do not stimulate the organ the cancer is in
Do not give a treatment that stimulates the organ in which the cancer is — for example, in cancer of the pancreas, do not give (2) Pan.
This is the most portable sentence in the article. It is not a list to memorise; it is a question to ask, and it works for organs that appear in no table anywhere: what is the name of the organ this cancer is in, and which point in my plan is aimed at that organ?
And its worked example, given in full: in lung cancer, do not give Ch Only or Thymus. In their place one may give 'Pan', or 'Gas Only', or (1) Single point liver × 6 treatments.
Note what has happened there. The general rule barred the chest points because the cancer is in the chest; the entry then names three substitutes that are nowhere near it. That is the pattern to copy when your patient's cancer is somewhere the tables do not mention.
And one line preserved exactly as it stands, hedge and all: on Spl in cancer — nowadays it is not given in cancer. The nowadays is part of the sentence and stays in it.
