Which of these three is this? — the article read backwards
Everything in this article has now been taught. What remains is the question a therapist actually faces with a patient in front of him, which is not what is this formula but which of these three is this?
Table 11 — The chooser
| What you are looking at | Which family | What you give | The bar you must check first |
|---|---|---|---|
| A sting, a bite, a reaction to a herb | Inflammation | ITF — and in an acute episode, the twenty-minute regimen | Immunity low → no (6) Adr. Heart disease → no (30) Medulla; (6) Adr seated |
| A complaint that began the day after an injection, a tablet or an operation | Inflammation | ITF, joined onto whatever the pain points call for | as above |
| A disease whose name ends in -itis; polio; conjunctivitis; appendicitis | Inflammation | ITF | as above |
| A blow, a bruise, a lump of collected blood, a sprain, a torn ligament | Injury | The Injury formula, 10–15 days or until the serum dries up | Diabetes, arthritis, any auto-immune disorder → the substitution. Fresh wound → (4) Thrd; very old wound → no (4) Thrd. Heart patient → (2) Thrd in place of (4) Thrd |
| The mark of an old wound, a burn or a scald | Injury | The Injury formula — without (4) Thrd, the wound being old | as above |
| Viral fever; infection of any kind; a body that catches everything | Viral | VTF, in the generation that fits — heavy, Mild, or the chronic-disease form | Auto-immune disorder → do not give. Ton 'P' → not to those who want children |
| A person who is well and wants to stay well; a small child; after a fever has come | Viral | VTF (Mild) | Auto-immune disorder → do not give |
| An old disease such as cancer | Viral | (1) Lymph (1) Th. Only × 6 treatments — Spl only if the Spl point is painful | Auto-immune disorder → do not give. And (6) Adr is barred in cancer, so ITF is not the answer here |
| Bronchial asthma, that is bronchitis | — | (6) Right Swt | Read the side before the count |
The last row of that table is the one to sit with. A patient with cancer and a painful swollen limb presents both families at once — and the family that would treat the swelling contains the point that is specifically barred in cancer. The chooser does not resolve that for you. What it does is make sure you see it before your hands are on the patient rather than afterwards.
