The Inflammation Treatment Formula — ITF
Two points, two mechanisms, two days — and the bar each one brings
Now we have obtained two separate points for putting inflammation right. Seeing the easy method of their treatment and their miraculous results, there is no doubt these were given to Guruji by some superhuman power. Both are wonderful treatments for stopping inflammation in the body.
But they work in different ways. That sentence is the reason there is a formula at all rather than a choice between two treatments. (6) Adr is aimed at the adrenal cortex, and through it at cortisol, the body's own officer for calling the defence home. (30) Medulla is aimed at the prostaglandins, the local chemicals that make a site red, hot, swollen and tender in the first place. One works from the gland; the other works at the site. Give both and you have gone at the fire from two ends. (Figure 32.2)
This treatment has been used on many thousands of patients with such good results — what is there to say? Since the formula stops inflammation it was named the Inflammation treatment formula.

| What it is for | Stopping inflammation in the body |
| First day, step I | (30) Medulla — thirty applications, both sides of the neck below the ears, seated, ghisāī with the thumbs one by one. Given once. The point and its whole account: The Medulla Family Seated |
| First day, step II | (6) Adr × 2 treatments — the (6) Adr treatment on two separate occasions on day one. Prone, 1½ pillows under the chest, palms gathered close to the T6 bead, three places, two equal one Prone |
| Second day | (6) Adr × 3 treatments — the same treatment, now on three separate occasions, and no Medulla at all |
| The rests | Between the repeats of (6) Adr, ninety seconds — Table 8, How a Formula Is Built |
| Stated indications | Scorpion, snake, poisonous herbs · the ill effects of medicines · polio · appendicitis · conjunctivitis |
| When it must not be given | Do not give (30) Medulla to heart patients. If needed, give (6) Adr with the patient seated. If someone's immunity is low, then under no circumstances give (6) Adr at that time — septicaemia, cancer, AIDS — and patients of heart disease — do not give ▲ Take care |

Practical tips — joining ITF to another formula
ITF is a formula that joins
This formula can be combined — joined — with any other formula.
The therapy's own worked example. A patient says he took some tablet, after which indigestion and stomach upset began. We check, and find pain at both Mu and Mu°. Then we can treat thus —
I (30) Medulla · II Fast treatment · III Ajay Normal + (6) Adr · IV ATF + (6) Adr, and so on.
Read what has happened to ITF in that line. The Medulla has gone to the front of the whole session. The adrenal treatment has been attached to the end of each digestive formula rather than given as a block of its own. The digestive work — Fast, Ajay Normal, ATF — is the work the patient's pain points called for, and it has not been displaced by a single step.
That is the model. ITF is not a protocol that replaces your plan. It is a pair of steps you add to the plan the examination has already given you — because the inflammation you are treating is nearly always sitting inside some other patient's other problem.
Two things govern the joining, and neither is optional. The order rule stands: whatever formula you are joining to is performed in the order it is written, and (6) Adr goes where the line puts it. And the rest between two whole formulas is five minutes, which is set out with its example in Table 8, How a Formula Is Built — the inflammation formula, then the abdomen-setting sequence, with a gap of five minutes in between.
And there is a second route to the same errand, in another family altogether, which a student should know exists rather than discover by accident. Within the UDF group there is an infection or inflammation formula — (3) Raman at the front, the light Parkhoo pass, (½) Ku – 20 secs × 6 treatments, then the compulsory pair and the absorption tail. It is built on the basophils and the cortisol route rather than on the adrenal rub, and it belongs to a patient whose trouble is undigested food with inflammation on top of it. Two families, two routes, two kinds of patient.

- What distinguishes the two days Fire and Swelling
ITF contains (30) Medulla, and therefore ITF inherits (30) Medulla's prohibition: not to patients of heart disease.

Name every stated indication of ITF, carry the therapy's own cautions exactly — including which patient gets (6) Adr seated and why — and join ITF onto another formula without breaking either.

- Questions students ask Fire and Swelling
Is there one question that sorts them? Yes, and it is: what is the body doing too much of, too little of, or trying to rebuild? Too much defence is inflammation — quieten it with ITF.

It is (30)'s own bar, and it is inherited by every formula containing (30) Medulla — which is why you met it already in ITF, in Fire and Swelling.
