Neurotherapy (LMNT) formula

Jeevan Dhara (heavy version)

Also called: old Jeevan Dhara, APR class C, heavy form

The heavy version is the older, four-part form of Jeevan Dhara, the Neurotherapy (LMNT) formula for abdominal pain without loose motions. It works round the whole navel area and contains the New Genes formula as one of its parts. It has since been replaced by a light version that the teaching calls lighter, and more effective.

Overview

What is the heavy version of Jeevan Dhara?

Jeevan Dhara is class C of the abdominal-pain-releasing (APR) treatments: belly pain with no complaint about the motions. Because the bowel's movement is correct, it is left alone, and the blood supply is increased above, beside, below and behind the navel.

This heavy version was the first form. It covered the same four regions in four parts, with many more applications and four patient positions. The teaching itself calls it 'the heavy treatment'. Its line 'this treatment may be given to everyone' is true only for those it is meant for — never someone with loose motions.

The heavy and light versions cover the same regions round the navel; the light one does it with far fewer applications.

What it is for

What was the heavy Jeevan Dhara used for?

  • Abdominal pain with no loose motions — the teaching says the pain came out at once.
  • The elderly and people with no particular complaint, who reported immediate freshness and briskness.

Points it works through

Which points does the heavy version work through?

The heavy version works through the points below, listed as a set by the region they serve. The exact method is taught hands-on in the Neurotherapy (LMNT) course.

Gas Only

Above the navel — the stomach, on the thighs.

Gas 'I'

Above the navel — the small intestine, down the calves. Gas Only and Gas 'I' always travel together.

Gal

Right and left of the navel — the gall bladder, given before the spleen.

Spl

Right and left of the navel — the spleen.

Liv

Right and left of the navel — the liver, given before Mu.

Mu

Right and left of the navel — the region to the left of the navel.

Pan

Below the navel — opens the New Genes part.

WD

Below the navel — on the forearms, inside the New Genes part.

Liv°

Behind the navel — the right kidney.

Mu°

Behind the navel — the left kidney.

(8) Ch. Only

The chest glide, always closed by Round Arrow.

Round Arrow

Beside the spine — the balancing partner of Ch. Only.

Position: Lying on the back (supine), on each side (side-lying) for the kidney points, and face down (prone) for Round Arrow.

The exact technique is taught hands-on in the Neurotherapy (LMNT) course. See the course →

How it works

How does it work, and why was it replaced?

The organs are given in their normal order — gall bladder before spleen, liver before Mu — which the teaching says increases the normal movement of the bowel. The chest glide is always paired with Round Arrow, so the acid–alkali balance the formula sets is held.

Later the same treatment was made lighter, in five parts, with roughly a quarter of the applications — and the reported results were better, not worse. A long session through four positions tires an old body. So today the light version is given, and the heavy one is learnt as its history.

Its family

Which formulas are related to the heavy version?

The heavy Jeevan Dhara sits in the APR family and carries a whole formula inside it.

What it is used for

Which conditions was it used for?

The same uses as the light version, which is now preferred.

The belly and strength

Safety: when it is held back

  • Never with loose motions: the normal order speeds the bowel, and Gal and Spl are withheld from an inflamed abdomen. Diarrhoea (loose motions)
  • Heart patients: the stronger Gal-and-Liv pair used here is held back, because faster fat digestion can raise cholesterol. This is one reason the light version is preferred. Heart
  • Spl is not given in cold, allergy, asthma, cancer, diabetes or other autoimmune disorders. Gal is not given in leukaemia, asthma, or to those passing little urine. Spl
  • Liv° and Mu° are not stimulated in kidney failure or kidney cancer. In diabetes, Round Arrow is given only over the lower back. Pan is not given in fits or schizophrenia. Mu°
  • Belly pain with fever, vomiting, blood in the stool or weight loss needs a doctor the same day. Keep taking the medicines your doctor prescribed — Neurotherapy (LMNT) works alongside medical care, never instead of it. How to tell a patient to see a doctor

Common questions

Should I ask for the heavy version because it is 'stronger'?

No. The teaching says the light version gives better results. More pressure is a different treatment, not a stronger one — and it tires the body.

Why is the heavy version still described?

Neurotherapy (LMNT) keeps older forms beside their successors so that students can see how a formula grew, and read old treatment cards correctly. An older form is not an error.

Is it given if I have loose motions?

No. Jeevan Dhara is only for belly pain without loose motions. Loose motions have their own treatments, which slow the bowel instead.

Surprising facts

1Peristalsis travels one way

Waves of muscle contraction push food along the intestine from mouth to rectum. Each wave is set off by stretching of the gut wall, run by the gut's own nerves.

2The kidneys filter your blood many times a day

The two kidneys filter about 180 litres of fluid a day and return almost all of it, keeping only a litre or two as urine.

Source: Guyton & Hall, Textbook of Medical Physiology, 14th ed. — glomerular filtration rate about 180 L/day.

3Older bodies tire from long sessions

With age, muscle strength and the body's reserve fall, so long, effortful sessions cost more energy. Shorter, lighter care fits better.
