1,25 DCC with the magnesium preface

Also called: 1,25 DCC with magnesium, Magnesium preface + 1,25 DCC, 1.25 DCC with Gal–Liv preface

This is Guruji's 1,25 DCC calcium formula with a short preface added in front: the gall bladder and liver points, for magnesium. It was added when physiology showed that calcium is absorbed properly only when magnesium is there to help, and it is given as one treatment — preface first, then the full formula.

Overview

What is the 1,25 DCC formula with the magnesium preface?

1,25 DCC is the finished, working form of vitamin D. It makes the intestine absorb calcium and the kidneys hold on to it. Guruji's 1,25 DCC formula follows the body's own vitamin D chain — liver, parathyroid gland, kidneys — and closes with a balancing pair, the chest and the spine.

Later it was learnt from physiology that calcium is absorbed properly only when magnesium joins with it. LMNT teaching reasons that magnesium is stored in the liver, and the gall bladder is the liver's storehouse. So a preface of the gall bladder and liver points was placed in front of the formula.

The liver point therefore appears twice — once in the preface and once at the head of the formula. That is deliberate: the preface has its own purpose, and the formula has its own. Where Neurotherapy (LMNT) writes two parts, two parts are given.

The preface fetches magnesium; the formula then runs the vitamin D chain so calcium can be absorbed.

What it is for

What is it used for?

  • Everything the 1,25 DCC formula is for, with the absorption of calcium made better by the magnesium step.
  • To help the body absorb calcium and other minerals and put them to use — for thin bones, night cramps and heavy periods with cramps, alongside daily morning sun.
  • As the middle part of the three-part sequence for people short of both calcium and vitamin B12.

Points it works through

Which points does it work through?

The preface points and the formula points are listed together here as a set, with what each contributes. The exact method, and how the version is chosen, are taught hands-on in the Neurotherapy (LMNT) course.

Gal

The gall bladder point, opening the preface. LMNT teaching calls the gall bladder the liver's storehouse, where the magnesium comes from.

Liv

The liver point — in the preface for the magnesium stored in the liver, and in the formula to turn vitamin D3 into its storage form.

(4) Para

The parathyroid point in its (4) form, rousing the glands to make PTH, without which the kidneys cannot finish vitamin D.

Liv°

The right kidney point — the kidneys make the active hormone 1,25 DCC.

Mu°

The left kidney point, the second half of the kidney step.

Ch. Only

Chest Only, half of the balancing pair, so the formula does not tip the acid–alkali balance.

Round Arrow

Round Arrow along the spine, the other half of the balancing pair.

Position: Lying on the back (supine) for the preface and the liver, parathyroid, kidney and chest points, and face down (prone) for the spine.

The exact technique is taught hands-on in the Neurotherapy (LMNT) course. See the course →

How it works

How does it work?

The body uses magnesium at several steps of making active vitamin D, in the liver and the kidneys. LMNT teaching puts it simply: only by joining with magnesium will calcium be absorbed properly. So the preface comes first, and the full 1,25 DCC formula follows straight after as one treatment.

As with the ordinary form, the therapist checks the two kidney points and asks about the stool before giving it, and the patient is asked to sit in the morning sun daily. The formula is not given on back-to-back days.

Its family

Which formulas are related?

This is one member of the 1,25 DCC family, which shares one vitamin D chain.

What it is used for

When is it given?

It is chosen when calcium absorption is the aim, from the kidney points and the stool on the day.

Safety: when it is held back

  • Heart patients: the gall bladder–liver pair improves fat digestion, which can raise cholesterol, so it is not given in heart disease. A single-point liver treatment is used in its place, as a trained teacher decides. (1) point Liv × 6 treatments
  • Gal is not given in leukaemia, blood cancer or other conditions with a raised white cell count, nor in asthma. Gal
  • Never give (4) Para on its own in osteoporosis — alone, it lifts calcium out of the bone. The full formula is given instead. (4) Para
  • Thin bones cannot bear pressure. In older people, kidney patients and anyone long on steroids, there is no forceful pressure on the spine; osteoporosis patients, very weak people and small children are treated with the hands only. Frail and elderly patients (gentle care)
  • The kidney points are never roused in kidney failure or kidney cancer; Chest Only is not given in lung cancer; Liv is not given with cancer in the liver. Kidney disease
  • Children receive light treatment only. Lighter formulas for children, the elderly and the weak

Common questions

Why is the liver point given twice?

Because the preface and the formula are two parts with two purposes. The first fetches magnesium; the second starts the vitamin D chain. Giving it only once would drop one of the two jobs.

Does this give me magnesium?

Nothing is swallowed. The preface aims to make better use of the magnesium the body already has. A diet with green leafy vegetables, nuts, seeds and whole grains also supplies magnesium.

Do I still need the morning sun?

Yes. The vitamin D chain begins with sunlight on the skin, so daily morning sun is part of this treatment.

Surprising facts

1Vitamin D needs magnesium to work

The enzymes that turn vitamin D into its active form in the liver and kidneys all depend on magnesium. Without enough magnesium, vitamin D cannot do its full job.

2Most of your calcium is in your bones

About 99% of the body's calcium is stored in the bones and teeth. The small amount in the blood is guarded so closely that, if it falls, the body takes calcium out of the bones.

3Magnesium lives in bone too

Roughly half to two-thirds of the body's magnesium is stored in bone, and most of the rest inside muscle and soft-tissue cells — very little floats free in the blood.
