Three things about that card repay a second reading.

It is a worked example of how a variant is made. The trunk is left exactly as it stands, the ending is chosen by the condition, and one targeted step is added at the end. Nothing is rearranged, nothing is removed, no count in the first four steps is touched. When you meet a condition for which no formula is written, this is the shape the therapy uses, and rule 5 of sequence in How a Formula Is Built is what permits it — with the doorframe attached.

The exclusion is the instruction, and it is doubly written. Adr is not merely absent from this line; the therapy says do not give Adr, and gives the reason. An omission in this wiki is always an instruction, and where the therapy takes the trouble to say the omission out loud, a therapist who restores the point because the line looks unfinished has not tidied a prescription. He has given a different one.

And the honest clinical note beside it. Acne is, in this therapy, one of the dryness complaints of the acid column, and this is the formula written for it. It is also a condition that has treatments of its own that work well — and one pattern in particular ought to send a young woman to a doctor rather than back to the mat: acne that persists into adult life alongside irregular periods, or with unusual hair growth, deserves assessment. Say so, and go on treating.

A CASE FROM PRACTICE

The woman at the Chandigarh camp — what Guruji explained that evening

What was found on the first day. She was quite depressed. One chief cause of depression, it has been found, is the increase of acid in the blood. So Guruji checked her himself and told them to give the Acid treatment — because there was tremendous pain in her Mu° point.

What happened on the first day. She got such relief that people began to say a miracle had happened. This is the whole reason for the reputation the treatment had in that hall by the evening.

What was done on the second day, and why it seemed reasonable. She said she had got relief from yesterday's treatment; the crowd was large; and the very same treatment was given, without examination. The full account of that hour — the queue, the meal, the card in the file, the two instructions Guruji gave on the spot — is in How a Formula Is Built.

Why the pain came. In Guruji's own words: "Yesterday her acid was increased, which we had taken out by our treatment. Today they said that they had got relief from yesterday's treatment, so you gave the very same treatment. Then why did the pain come to her? Because today the same treatment was given a second time, so in her body the acid became very much reduced — or say that the alkali increased, one chief symptom of which is an increase of pain in the body. When I checked, today I found pain in Liv°. She was already sad, so she could not bear the pain, and therefore she wept."

What set it right. When she was given the treatment of NAN her body became normal, and she got relief. NAN is the named rescue for an adverse effect from any of our treatments — Setting the Stomach.

The two lessons, as Guruji drew them. "From this we get this lesson: that before giving Acid treatment one must certainly check the pain of Mu°. If there is no pain in Mu° then Acid treatment is not to be given! The second thing is that one and the same person may, on different days, need a different treatment according to the pain points." It is hoped that all neurotherapists will obey these commands.

What this case teaches

A correct treatment repeated onto a corrected body is not a smaller correction. It is a correction in the wrong direction. The formula did on day two exactly what it had done on day one, and that is precisely why it harmed her.

The kingdoms are not fixed. A patient can cross from acid to alkali overnight, and the thing that carried her across was her own treatment. The tender point, not the diagnosis, is what tells you where she is standing this morning.

An increase of pain in the body is the sign of alkali rising, and it is the sign that most often gets blamed on the therapist's pressure. Check Liv° before you conclude you pressed too hard.

An adverse effect has a named action — one treatment of NAN — and a second duty that belongs to this wiki rather than to the camp: write down what happened, at the time, in words, including what was given and what was not examined. An event nobody recorded cannot teach anybody anything afterwards.

And the sentence that governs the whole of : one and the same person may, on different days, need a different treatment. The card is a history. The hand is the prescription.

A MISTAKE STUDENTS MAKE

Treating the diagnosis instead of the direction

A man is diagnosed with cervical spondylosis, which stands squarely in the acid column as a degenerative disease. The therapist writes ATF on the card and gives it every day for three weeks, because the diagnosis has not changed and neither, therefore, has the treatment.

In the second week Mu° went quiet. In the third week Liv° began to be tender, and the patient started saying that his whole body ached — which the therapist heard as the spondylosis getting worse, and answered by giving ATF more carefully.

The disease was in the acid column. The patient was not, by then, in the acid kingdom. The gate is not does this disease belong to acidosis; it is is there more pain at Mu° than at Liv° today. A degenerative disease is a reason to reach for ATF. A tender Mu° is the reason to give it. ▲ Take care
