Ch. Only — Chest Only (चेस्ट ओनली)

Place your foot obliquely, so that compared with the heel the big toe is turned a little inward. Keep the sole and the heel resting lightly on the patient's chest below. Take care not to lift your heel or the outer edge of your sole.

(1) Ch. Only — rub so softly from the chest up to the shoulders that the sole slips out over the cloth; then the patient will feel very comfortable.

In this, the count is three equals one. That is, for (1) Ch. Only one has to rub three times. First the left side, then the right side.

The two side-variants, each with its own purpose, each taught whole:

If Rt. Ch. Only is written, do it only on the patient's right chest; this will reduce the pain of Liv°.

If Lt. Ch. Only is written, do it only on the patient's left chest; this will reduce the pain of Mu°.

Those are two different prescriptions answering two different findings, located by palpation before the session. A card that says Ch. Only without a side wants both, left first; a card that names a side wants that side alone.
