A bar that bit mid-course, a formula half-working, and a heavy version

A CASE FROM PRACTICE

Suresh B. · 41 · bus conductor · Ratlam · came with cramping belly pain and six or seven loose motions a day for eleven days

What he said. "Saab, the stomach twists and then I have to run. Six times, seven times. I have stopped eating before my shift because I am afraid of where the bus will be." He had taken something from a chemist for four days and something else from a neighbour. He looked tired and a little grey and he had lost the loop of his belt.

What was found. Mu graded three plus and very sharp. Liv two plus. Gas tender. The belly soft, no guarding, no fever, bowel sounds busy. He was passing urine, his mouth was not dry, and he was not dizzy standing up — which was asked and written down before anything else, because with that many motions the water matters more than the formula does.

Which reports mattered. He brought a stool report from a laboratory and a blood count. The stool report changed nothing about the choice of class; the therapist read it because a laboratory finding of blood or organisms is a referral question, and there was none. What would have mattered — and was asked rather than read — was whether anybody had ever told him his blood pressure was high. He said no.

The choice. More than five or six loose motions, so class B, revised. Part I, (30) Medulla alone. Part II, (6) Adr (6) Swt. Then look.

Session one. Part I and part II given. He got off the mat and said the twisting had gone. He was told, in words, that the treatment was not finished and that the motions would be counted tomorrow.

Session two. Three motions overnight, still loose. Part II repeated, according to need, and part III still withheld. And here the case turned. Getting up from prone he steadied himself on the therapist's arm and said he had felt like that since he started the tablet the doctor gave him for the pressure — a tablet he had not mentioned the day before, because he had been asked whether anyone had told him his blood pressure was high, and to his mind the tablet meant it was no longer high.

What was done. The card was stopped where it stood. (6) Adr is not given in high blood pressure — it reduces acid and raises alkali — and (6) Adr was in both the parts he had been receiving. The therapist did not improvise a new formula. He wrote to the physician, asked for the reading, and in the meantime gave what the therapy writes for exactly this patient and does not bar: the Ulta Normal formula, which is for ordinary loose motions and for high blood pressure, with (6) Swt, which carries no prohibition and is written to reduce the motility of the intestines in loose motions.

Sessions three to six. Motions twice on day three, once on day four, and on day five formed. On day five the Ulta Normal was stopped and, as that formula's own rule requires and as the closing instruction of this article requires, NAN was given for one day. Then he was examined again from the beginning.

What this case teaches

The count chooses the class, and the bar questions choose whether you may give it. Both are asked before the card is written.

"Has anyone told you your blood pressure is high?" is the wrong question. Ask what tablets he takes, and ask to see the strip.

When a prohibition bites mid-course, you do not invent a substitute. You give what the therapy already writes for that patient — here, a formula indicated for both his complaints at once.

The closing day is part of the treatment. Two rules pointed at it from different directions, and one day's NAN satisfied both.

A CASE FROM PRACTICE

Meenakshi R. · 34 · tailor · Erode · came with pain across the upper belly and four loose motions a day for a month

What she said. "It is not like food poisoning. It has been there a month. The pain sits here" — spreading her hand over the upper abdomen — "and the motions are loose but not water. And I am tired in a way I was not before."

What was found. Mu three plus. Gal two plus and hard. Spl tender. Liv one plus. Tongue coated. Nothing about the belly that demanded a referral, and that was checked first and written down.

The choice, and the first approach. Four loose motions a day: class A. She was given it in the first version — (30) Medulla (6) Swt · (6) Adr (6) Swt · the Ulta Normal formula — because the therapist had learned it that way and that was what was in his notebook.

What happened. Over six sessions the pain came down from three plus to two plus and stayed there. The motions went from four a day to three and stayed there. She was not worse. She was not right either, and she said so plainly: "It is better and it is still there."

What was done when the first approach did not work. The therapist took the formula apart on paper and asked what each part was doing. Parts I and II were both aimed at the inflammation. Part III was aimed at the organs — and it contained Gal, whose bile is antiseptic, and Spl, which makes the white cells and the antibodies. By giving those two points the inflammation could increase. So he gave the revised class A: the same first two parts, and a third part with Gal and Spl gone — (6) Adr (6) Swt (8) Pan (1) Mu – 3 points (1) Liv – 3 points, the line ruled beneath Mu and Liv.

Sessions seven to twelve. By the ninth the pain was one plus, by the eleventh the motions were twice and formed. Gal was still hard, and was noted for later. On the twelfth day the treatment was stopped and FAN was given, one day.

Afterwards. Her Gal tenderness and the tiredness were taken up separately, and the stool was examined for the question that belongs to the previous article — whether anything was coming out looking as it went in.

What this case teaches

A treatment that half-works is information. She was not worse, and the temptation was to carry on. What moved her was a change of formula, not more of the same one.

The revision is not a refinement. It is a removal, and the reason is written on the points themselves — the antiseptic and the antibody factory, both withheld from an inflamed belly.

Grading before and after, every day, is what made the plateau visible. Three plus to two plus and then six sessions of nothing is a fact on a card, not an impression.

The complaint she came with was not the end of her. When the belly quietened, the next question was already written on the card.

A CASE FROM PRACTICE

Lakshmi Bai · 71 · retired schoolteacher · Nagpur · brought by her daughter for "nothing in particular"

What she said. Very little, at first, and what she said was an apology: "There is nothing wrong with me. My daughter troubles everybody." Pressed gently: she had stopped walking to the temple, she slept badly and woke tired, her appetite had thinned, and she had a vague ache across the middle of her belly that she had never thought worth mentioning. Motions perfectly regular, once a day, formed.

What was found. Liv and Mu both tender, Gas mildly so, the whole abdomen a little unyielding under the fingers. No guarding, no mass, no tenderness that made her catch her breath. Her walking was slow and she got down onto the mat in stages.

Which reports mattered. Her daughter arrived with a folder. A thyroid test from two years ago, normal. A sugar, normal. A vitamin D, low, with a prescription already being taken. None of it changed the choice of formula. The therapist read them, said so, and said which one he was glad of — the D, because it was being treated.

The choice, and why. Abdominal pain with no loose motions at all: the motility is correct and must not be tampered with. Class C — Jeevan Dhara. And because she was seventy-one and had taken a minute to get down onto the mat, the question of which version was not a small one.

Session one, and the mistake made honestly. He gave the heavy version, because it was the one he knew best. Fourteen stations, four positions. It took a long time. She got up, said she felt lighter — and then sat on the edge of the mat for several minutes and was very quiet, and her daughter had to help her to the auto.

What was done. From session two he gave the light version — (1) Gas Only – 6 points · (1) Gal (1) Spl (1) Liv – 3 points (1) Mu – 3 points · Ajay Normal Mild · Mild Kidney Clear · Mild Genes. Less than a third of the applications. She got up from it unaided.

Sessions three to ten. By the fourth she said the ache across the middle had gone. By the sixth her daughter reported, unprompted, that she had walked to the temple and back. By the eighth she was sleeping through. At the tenth she said the sentence this formula is named for — that she felt she had been given her life back — and did not seem to know she was quoting anybody.

What this case teaches

"No particular complaint" is a complaint, and this therapy has a formula for it. Ask the questions that find the things an elder has decided not to trouble anyone with.

The heavy version is not the real one and the light version the shortcut. The verdict is written: lighter, and more effective. The first session taught the therapist what the card had already told him.

What exhausts a patient cannot supply her. A treatment she needs help to get up from has spent more than it gave.

The absence of loose motions was not a detail of the history. It was the whole reason she was in class C, and it decided every instruction in the formula she received.

WHAT TO CARRY AWAY

APR is the abdominal pain releasing group — three classes, two generations of each, divided by one question: how many loose motions a day.

The reasoning: infection in the food canal becomes inflammation, which must be corrected; the pain also reports that the stomach and intestines are short of blood, so food passes undigested; the large intestine, also short, cannot take the water out, and that is diarrhoea; the motility must therefore be stopped, which is the work of the sympathetic system through the adrenal medulla — provoked with (6) Swt.

(30) Medulla or (6) Adr immediately stops inflammation, by which the pain of the Mu point goes out at once. And changing the order of provoking the abdominal organs changes the motility, which is done with the Ulta Normal formula.

Class A — up to 4–5 loose motions: (30) Medulla (6) Swt · (6) Adr (6) Swt · then the organs. Strengthened by giving (6) Adr (6) Swt a second time at the head of part III.

Class B — more than 5–6: (30) Medulla alone, then (6) Adr (6) Swt × 2 treatments, as needed, and the organs only at part III. Until the inflammation is finished there is no meaning in provoking the other organs of the abdomen.

The stopping-and-repeating rule: ordinarily the patient feels thoroughly well at once and the motions begin to stop; if they do not, the intestine is still not right — repeat part II once or twice according to need, and give part III afterwards.

The revision took Gal and Spl out of an inflamed abdomen, because the bile of the gall bladder is antiseptic and the spleen makes WBCs and antibodies, so giving them could increase the inflammation.

Liv and Mu are given in the reverse of the normal order, and a line is ruled beneath them — the mark that stops the habitual order and carries the duty to ask about the motions every day.

The closing instruction: to correct loose motions we are stopping the speed of peristalsis — so when the motions become completely normal, do not forget to give NAN / FAN for at least one day.

Class C is built the other way round. No loose motions means the motility is correct and must not be tampered with; only the organs are provoked — above the navel, beside it, below it and behind it — and the pain comes out of itself.

Jeevan Dhara is class C under the name its patients gave it. Heavy version: four parts, Gal before Spl and Liv before Mu, which will increase normal peristalsis; may be given to everyone. Light version: five parts, roughly a quarter of the applications — and lighter, and more effective. Also given at any age to remove fatigue or weakness.

The HCl treatment formula — (15) Medulla · (½) Ku – 6 secs × 1 trt. · 1 pt. Gall · B₁₂ 2 : 2 · the Fast treatment · Ajay Normal — was made because the UDF treatment has to be given again and again in some patients and even then the problem does not get fully right. Especially very beneficial for children of slow intellect, and both formulas are to be taught to their parents and given daily.

(6) Adr carries its bars wherever it goes — not where immunity is already low, not in high blood pressure — and never more than six at one place at one time.
