From Findings to a Plan From Findings to a Plan — the findings that are written before a single point is planned
And the block is not for ever
It lifts when the chief symptoms end, and the lifting is itself a result
This is the sentence students most often miss, and it changes the whole character of the article. (Figure 42.2)

When a block comes off — and what lifting it proves
By our treatment the working of the glands goes on improving. It is not necessary that this warning is for ever.
This avoidance is needed only for as long as the chief symptoms of that disease have not ended. Afterwards, if the need arises, those points can be given.
In fact this is one more special feature of Neurotherapy, and it is the proof that by our treatment the glands have improved.
Read the last line twice. The therapy is not merely tolerating its own restrictions; it treats the day a block can be lifted as a clinical result — as good evidence of improvement as any number on a slip of paper. A card that carried twelve blocked points in January and carries four in November has recorded something.
Two working consequences follow, and both belong on the card rather than in the memory.
A lifted block is a dated, named decision. Write un-blocked, with the date and whose decision it was, exactly as you would write a change of formula. A block that quietly stops being observed has not been lifted; it has been forgotten, and the two look identical from outside.
And a block is lifted on the chief symptoms of the disease having ended, which is a clinical judgement and not a mood. He feels much better is not the test the sentence sets. The chief symptoms of that disease have not ended is. Where the condition has a measure — a sugar, a pressure taken properly over two weeks, a thyroid reading — let the measure answer, because it is the honest reading of the instruction and because it protects you.
Blocking a card, and taking a block off. What blocking is and what hyper means; the order the material gives set against the order students use instead; the six steps of the method with a card drawn as it is written; and what it means when a block later comes off.
