WD: the forearm point for white discharge and lower-belly pain

WD stands for White Discharge. It is given on both forearms with the patient lying on the back, and is used to reduce pain below the navel and improve blood flow to the genital organs.

Overview

Given on the forearms, aimed below the navel.

WD is short for White Discharge, the passing of whitish fluid from the vagina. The point is given with the patient lying on the back, on both forearms from the elbow to the wrist, with the therapist working from the head end and keeping the weight equal on both sides.

Its stated use is to reduce the pain below the navel and to increase blood circulation in the genital organs. Why the forearms? In Neurotherapy (LMNT), arms answer pains between the navel and the bottom of the trunk, and WD is a midline point, so it goes to both arms.

The organs WD is named for lie deep in the pelvis, out of reach of any hand. Because WD is given on the forearms, it carries none of the risk of pressing on the lower belly. At the wrist the therapist uses the lightest contact, since a major nerve passes there into its tunnel.

A small, odourless discharge that changes through the month is part of a healthy body. WD supports comfort, but some kinds of discharge and bleeding must first be checked by a doctor, as the safety notes below explain.

  • A discharge that smells bad, is coloured, itchy or bloodstained, or comes with pain, fever or bleeding needs a doctor's examination and tests, not more WD. Leucorrhoea (white discharge)
  • Three findings go to a doctor before any treatment: bleeding after the menopause; bleeding between periods or after intercourse; and sudden severe one-sided pelvic pain with faintness.
  • Women do not take treatment for other problems during the period. They may come during it for very heavy bleeding, bleeding that does not stop, very scanty bleeding, or pain and clots. Period problems (irregular, heavy or painful)
  • In cancer, the ovary points Rt. Ov. and Lt. Ov. are never given. Cancer care: Neurotherapy (LMNT) support
  • The exact method is taught hands-on in the course, under a trained therapist. Please do not try it on yourself or others from this page.

This page explains what a Neurotherapy (LMNT) treatment is for; it is not a self-treatment guide and does not diagnose. Neurotherapy (LMNT) works alongside your medical care — keep taking the medicines your doctor prescribed.
