VTF (Mild), and the version for chronic disease

Earlier Guruji used to give the heavy treatment above. Nowadays it has been made mild — light.

That word — nowadays — is the therapy's own, and it is how this wiki prints every generation of every formula. The older version is not deleted. It stands above, complete, because a card written in 1995 is still a card somebody may have to read.

Read the table across and one thing is unmistakable. At each reduction, the steps dropped were the ones that carried the therapy's own cautions. Ton 'P' went, and the fertility restriction went out with it. Armpits went. The spleen went last, and did not go absolutely — it comes back the moment the Spl point is tender.

That is not a formula being weakened. It is a formula being narrowed to the part that was doing the work, over thirty years of watching.

A MISTAKE STUDENTS MAKE

Counting the journey back

(8) Thymus Only asks for twenty-four rubs a side. A therapist counting to twenty-four while the foot swings out and back will, without ever deciding to, count the return as well — and give twelve journeys out and twelve journeys in, calling it twenty-four.

He has given Th. Only into the chest and back into the breastbone, which is not what the point is. Count the outward journeys only.

And then the arithmetic error stacked on top of it: having reached twenty-four in one run down one side, he has also broken the twelve-rub ceiling, which is there to stop one side of a gland being roused far more than the other. Twenty-four in one run is not a heavier Th. Only. It is the thing the ceiling exists to prevent — and in some people it produces vomiting. 12 and 12, then, without any rest, 12 and 12 again.

A MISTAKE STUDENTS MAKE

Reading mild as safe for everyone

The card says, in the therapy's own words, beneficial for everyone, can be given even after fever has come, and also suitable for small children. A therapist reads those three lines and concludes that VTF (Mild) is the harmless formula — the one you can give while you think about what else to do.

Two lines further down sits the sentence he has stopped reading: if a patient has an auto immune disorder, we do not give this treatment, because provoking the lymphocytes may increase their disease.

The logic is exact and it is worth holding onto, because it is the logic of this entire article. VTF works by provoking the lymphocytes. In an auto-immune disease the lymphocytes are already attacking the patient's own tissue. Provoking them harder is not a small dose of a good thing; it is a dose of the thing that is already going wrong.

It is the same reasoning, from the other side, as the Injury formula's substitution, which takes the thymus out for exactly that group of patients. One article, two formulas, one rule: where the immune system is already misbehaving, you do not stimulate it. Ask the question — has any doctor ever told you your body is attacking itself? — and ask it in words the patient will recognise: thyroid antibodies, rheumatoid, lupus, psoriasis, bamboo spine, MS.

Classical Indian medicine had a word for the quality that makes one person shrug off what flattens another. It was called ojas — the final, most refined product of everything the body digests and builds, and the thing that keeps a person steady, bright-eyed and hard to knock over.

What is striking is where they said it came from. Not from a herb and not from a gland: from good digestion, sound sleep and an untroubled mind. Ruin any of the three and ojas falls, and then whatever is going around the village finds you.

Set that beside this article's central claim — that the root cause of an infection is not the germ but the fallen power to resist it — and two systems, with nothing else in common, have put the same sentence at the front.
