Also called: Chole variant II (CCK), Chole for setting the stomach — CCK form
Chole variant II is the form of the Chole treatment used for setting the stomach by way of CCK. It ends at the gall bladder point, the point matched with cholecystokinin.
Overview
What is Chole variant II?
The Chole treatment teaching says that when it is used for setting the stomach, it works still better in one of two matched forms. The two differ only in the last point. Variant I ends at the liver point and leans on secretin. Variant II ends at Gal, the gall bladder point, and leans on CCK.
CCK, short for cholecystokinin, is released when fat and protein reach the duodenum. It squeezes the gall bladder, relaxes the small muscle ring at the bile outlet, and tells the pancreas to send its enzymes. The gall bladder belongs to this response, which is why Gal is its point.
As written, variant II uses the same points as the Chole treatment itself. What makes it 'variant II' is the purpose it is chosen for: setting the stomach through the CCK route.

Variant II ends at the gall bladder point, matching CCK — the hormone that makes the gall bladder squeeze when fat arrives.
What it is for
What is Chole variant II used for?
Setting the stomach through the CCK route — bile and pancreatic enzymes for fat and protein.
Through its parent, the Chole treatment: heaviness, sour belches or burning after fatty or heavy-protein meals.
Points it works through
Which points does Chole variant II work through?
Three points, listed as a set. The exact method is taught hands-on in the Neurotherapy (LMNT) course.
Gal, the gall bladder point on the left thigh — the point matched with CCK, to send bile for fat.
Position:Seated for the Medulla part, then lying on the back (supine).
The exact technique is taught hands-on in the Neurotherapy (LMNT) course. See the course →
How it works
How does it work?
The vagus nerve calls up CCK; the small intestine is set moving; and the gall bladder is roused to empty. Those three steps together are meant to let bile and enzymes meet the fat and protein that need them.
CCK's business is with muscle — the gall bladder wall — and with the enzyme-making cells of the pancreas. Secretin's business is with the ducts. That is why the liver point goes with secretin in variant I and the gall bladder point with CCK here.
Its family
Which formulas are related?
Variant II is one of the matched pair taken from the Chole treatment.
Chole Treatment — The parent formula, for chest burning after fried food.
Chole variant I — The twin: ends at the liver point and works by way of secretin.
CCK Normal — A longer formula built around CCK that reaches the whole digestive tract.
New Gal — A five-part formula for the gall bladder that ends with the Chole treatment.
What it is used for
Where is it used?
The teaching names one purpose for this variant: setting the stomach by way of CCK.
Abdominal painAs part of a stomach-setting plan chosen by the therapist
Safety: when it is held back
It carries every rule of the Chole treatment. (10) Medulla is not given in cancer or in diabetes. (10) Medulla
Heart disease: (10) Medulla is never given on both sides; only (10) Left Medulla is used. Heart
The Chole treatment is not given to patients with kidney failure. Kidney disease

Common questions
Is variant II the same as the Chole treatment?
As written, they use the same points. Variant II is the name used when the treatment is chosen for setting the stomach by the CCK route. Your therapist decides which is meant for you.
Does this help gallstones?
The teaching does not name gallstones for this variant. Gallstones need a doctor's assessment; never let a gall bladder pain go unexamined.
Why is the gall bladder point used for CCK?
Because the gall bladder is the organ CCK acts on most visibly: it makes it squeeze out bile.
Surprising facts
1CCK does three jobs in one movement
It squeezes the gall bladder, relaxes the muscle ring guarding the bile outlet (the sphincter of Oddi), and tells the pancreas to send enzymes — so bile and enzymes arrive together.

2CCK also tells you that you are full
Besides digestion, CCK signals to the brain, partly through the vagus nerve, that a meal has arrived — one of the body's 'stop eating' messages.

3The gall bladder concentrates bile
Between meals the gall bladder removes water from stored bile, making it several times stronger, so a small squeeze delivers a lot of bile salts.
