What happens in a Neurotherapy (LMNT) session

A session for a common complaint takes about half an hour and is not given in one continuous run. Come on an emptier stomach, in loose clothes, breathe slowly, and say at once if anything hurts.

Overview

A session from door to door. Knowing each step, and its reason, helps the patient keep the rules.

Patients want to know what will happen to them, so the therapist explains it before they lie down. For a common complaint, a session takes about thirty minutes. It is not continuous: the formula itself sets short gaps, and in these gaps the therapist asks how you are feeling.

Come with an emptier stomach. During treatment you lie straight, turn onto your side and lie face down by turns, and a full stomach makes that hard. The therapist will ask what you ate and when, and may start a little later if you have just had a meal. Wear loose clothing that keeps the body covered; treatment is given over the clothes.

Lie down and get up by rolling onto your side, never with a jerk. Breathe long and slowly through the nose so oxygen reaches every cell. The more relaxed you stay, the more benefit you take, because a braced muscle works against the treatment.

Your one real duty is to speak up. The pressure should not hurt. If it does, say so and the angle or the way the foot is placed will be changed; the effect is not reduced. Pain kept quiet may leave soreness or weakness afterwards. Where needed, small treatments may also be taught to the family for home, so relief comes sooner.

Safety: when it is held back

  • If pressure hurts, tell the therapist at once. Pain kept quiet can leave soreness or weakness after the session.
  • During the menstrual period, other treatments are not given. A woman may still come for the period problem itself: very heavy bleeding, bleeding that does not stop, very scanty bleeding, pain or clots. Period problems (irregular, heavy or painful)
  • If you are pregnant, tell the therapist before the session. Certain points are held back in pregnancy, and any question about medicines belongs to your own doctor. Pregnancy care
