Right and Left Vitamin Formation: side-lying points for pain at the side of the hip
Right and Left Vitamin Formation are two side-lying Neurotherapy (LMNT) points worked in slow clockwise circles beside the top of the thigh bone. In their own words, they are given to take out the pain there.
Overview
Both points are given with the patient lying on the side, legs straight in line with the body and a pillow between the thighs. For Right Vitamin Formation the patient lies on the left side and the work is on the right hip; for Left Vitamin Formation the patient lies on the right side and the work is on the left hip. It is always the hip facing the ceiling.
The fingers are gathered into one pad and turned in slow circles in the direction a clock's hands move, travelling from below upward beside the ball of the thigh bone. Beside it, not on it: the ball sits deep inside the hip joint under thick muscle, and no finger reaches it. The skin moves with the pad instead of being slid over.
The stated use is modest and local: to take out the pain at the side of the hip. The name is older than that use. A vitamin is something the body needs and cannot make for itself, so a point cannot supply one. A point's name works as an address on the treatment card, not as a claim. The exact method is taught hands-on in the course.
