Hepatitis
Hepatitis means inflammation of the liver. It is most often caused by a virus, but also by alcohol, some medicines and poisons, or the body's own immune system. It needs a doctor's diagnosis and care.

- About 240 million people were living with long-term hepatitis B in 2024
- About 47 million people live with long-term hepatitis C
- Most people newly infected with hepatitis B have no symptoms at all
- Vaccines protect against hepatitis A and B; there is no vaccine for hepatitis C

What is Hepatitis?
The liver is the body's chemical factory. It cleans the blood, makes bile to digest fat, stores energy and makes proteins. In hepatitis, the liver becomes inflamed, and it cannot do these jobs well.
There are five main hepatitis viruses — A, B, C, D and E. A and E usually spread through food or water soiled with an infected person's stool. B, C and D spread through blood and body fluids. Hepatitis can be short-lived (acute) or last for years (chronic), sometimes silently, and long-term hepatitis can scar the liver.
What are the symptoms?
- Often no symptoms, especially early on
- Tiredness, fever, poor appetite, nausea or vomiting
- Pain in the upper right part of the belly
- Yellow skin and yellow whites of the eyes (jaundice)
- Dark urine, pale or clay-coloured stools, and itchy skin
- Joint pain
What causes it, and who is more likely to get it?
Viruses
- Hepatitis A and E — from food or water soiled with stool
- Hepatitis B, C and D — from blood and body fluids: shared needles, unsafe injections, unscreened blood, tattoos and piercing with unclean tools, unprotected sex
- Hepatitis B — from mother to baby at birth
Alcohol, medicines and poisons
- Heavy drinking over a long time
- Some medicines and supplements, taken wrongly or in excess
- Poisons and chemicals
How is it found?
Hepatitis is found with blood tests, because many people feel nothing. A doctor decides which tests are needed and what they mean.
Liver function tests
A blood test that shows whether the liver is inflamed and how well it is working, including the bilirubin that causes yellowing.
Virus tests
Blood tests look for each hepatitis virus. For hepatitis C, an antibody test shows past contact, and a second test for the virus itself confirms a current infection.
Ultrasound or other scans, and sometimes a biopsy
Scans show the size and texture of the liver; a tiny sample of liver is sometimes checked to see how much damage there is.
A neurotherapist asks for the liver reports and the doctor's diagnosis before the first session — above all, whether there is any cancer in the liver, because then the liver points are not given. She also asks whether undigested food comes in the stool.
How Neurotherapy sees Hepatitis
LMNT supports the liver and digestion alongside medical care. Guruji's teaching gives the Liv point — which it says fights infection through the liver's Kupffer cells — and places hepatitis among the severe or chronic diseases in which many glands are working less. For such a body the rule is: provoke less, more often.
How LMNT reads hepatitis
- StomachLMNT teaching asks whether acid of proper strength is there, as the first barrier to germs
- Digestionundigested food means fewer amino acids — the raw material for antibodies
- Liverits Kupffer cells take part in fighting infection
- Bloodcarries the antibodies and the raw materials to every part
Guruji's diary of 19 April 1990 lists hepatitis B among the diseases in which undigested food is found. So digestion is examined and set right, and the liver is given gentle, repeated stimulation through the day — never a heavy dose to a gland that is already struggling.
The coming of UDF is itself a chief cause of the coming of the great diseases.
Neurotherapy treatment for Hepatitis, step by step
Examine first
The therapist reads the liver reports and the doctor's diagnosis, confirms there is no cancer in the liver, checks the pain points Liv° and Mu°, and asks about undigested food in the stool.
Light treatment only
Hepatitis is named among the diseases for which the light treatment is especially meant. Like polio drops given in small, repeated doses, two or three light treatments are given instead of one heavy one.
(1) point Liv × 6 treatments
One Liv point, six times through the day, an hour apart. LMNT gives it for hepatitis, jaundice, cirrhosis and fatty liver — the count is a timetable, not a number of presses.
Set digestion right
If undigested food is found in the stool, the UDF formula is given, so that protein is digested and absorbed.
Always with medical care
The doctor's tests, medicines and vaccines for the family continue. The therapist also takes ordinary care with blood and body fluids.
Points and formulas used
(1) point Liv × 6 treatments
Gentle, repeated stimulation of the liver through the day — for hepatitis, jaundice, cirrhosis and fatty liver.
Open →General UDF formula
Clears undigested food from the gut, so that protein can be digested and absorbed.
Open →Never do this
- If there is cancer in the liver, the Liv points — including (1) point Liv × 6 — are not given. Cancer in the liver
- Light treatment only: a gland that is already struggling is provoked less at first. The UDF formula carries (10) Medulla, which is not given in diabetes or cancer. (10) Medulla
- In cirrhosis, bruising and bleeding come easily and the belly may hold fluid — pressure is kept gentle. In viral hepatitis, ordinary precautions with blood and body fluids protect the therapist and the patient.
- Hepatitis needs a doctor first. Go to a hospital the same day for yellow eyes with repeated vomiting, drowsiness or confusion, a swelling belly, vomiting blood or black stools, or easy bleeding. Neurotherapy is only support alongside medical care.
- Cancer: if the person has cancer, (10) Pan, Thymus, Pit, Lu + Sh, Rt. Ov / Lt. Ov and (30) Medulla are never given — the therapist changes the plan.
- Keep taking the medicines your doctor prescribed. Neurotherapy works alongside your medical care, never instead of it.

What research says
- Strong evidence
Kupffer cells — the liver's own resident immune cells — help regulate the body's defence against the hepatitis B and C viruses. They keep the liver in balance, but can also add to the damage.
- Strong evidence
About 240 million people lived with long-term hepatitis B in 2024, and it caused about 1.1 million deaths, mostly from cirrhosis and liver cancer. Most new infections cause no symptoms, and the vaccine gives almost complete protection.

No clinical trial of Neurotherapy in hepatitis has been published yet. Improvements reported by neurotherapists are clinical observations.
For you
Families of a person with hepatitis B
Ask your doctor about testing and the hepatitis B vaccine for everyone at home. Do not share razors or toothbrushes.
Pregnant women
Hepatitis B can pass to the baby at birth. Testing in pregnancy lets the doctor protect the newborn.
People with long-term hepatitis
Avoid alcohol, and do not start any medicine, herb or supplement without asking your doctor — the liver has to process all of them.
This page explains; it does not diagnose. Neurotherapy works alongside your medical care — keep taking the medicines your doctor prescribed, and see a doctor for any new or severe symptom.
